Kristy Janae Trevino, Ph.D.

Kristy Janae Trevino, Ph.D., joined the Texas Water Journal in 2015 and is a faculty member at Trinity University, San Antonio. Later that year she was hired on by the journal as a Staff Editor. Kristy received her B.S. in Chemistry from St. Mary’s University, her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Colorado State University, and Masters in Natural Resources from Oregon State University. Dr. Treviono also has a graduate certificate in Water Conflict Management and Transformation.

Dr. Trevino is an active Texas Water Specialist, Texas Stream Team member, and Texas Master Naturalist.  She acquires the majority of her volunteer service hours for these groups doing water related clean ups and chemical testing. She also does wildlife rescues for Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation.
